UNO Faces Vermont For First Time Ever

UNO started playing hockey in 1997. Believe it or not, in all those years, UNO has never faced Vermont. That all changes this weekend.

Not headed to Vermont for the games? Don't worry, you'll still be able to watch them.

One question we get a lot is about NCHC.tv. Jon and I subscribed to the NCHC.tv service last year (and renewed for this year!), and it is AWESOME to get to watch other conference games, as well as UNO's conference road games. But NCHC.tv doesn't have non-conference games (except they did pick up last year's Cornell series, for some reason). So, you're at the mercy of whichever conference the home team is part of. Last week's games were on WCHA.tv. We didn't watch last week's games on WCHA.tv, because we were at the games! But we heard mixed reviews from those who watched. That wasn't too bad for those watching for free on Friday at the Baxter Arena season ticket holder pickup party, but I heard complaints from folks on Saturday who paid $5.99 for the game.

We're out of conference again this weekend, so NCHC.tv won't have this weekend's games either. But Vermont has a partnership with the Northeast Sports Network, and they'll be live streaming both UNO vs. Vermont games this weekend. And, best of all, the live stream is free!
