de la Gorgendiere was a force on both ends of the ice in the Mavericks’ series against No. 13 UMass. On Friday, Oct. 24, he notched one assist, two blocks and a season-high five shots in Omaha’s hard-fought 5-4 loss at home.
He followed that performance up on Saturday night, helping lead the Mavericks to a thrilling 5-2 upset over the Minutemen with one goal, two assists and a block.
Over the two-game series, de La Gorgendiere fired off eight shots and set new season- and career-highs with three points in Saturday’s victory at Baxter Arena.
Across the first four games of the 2025-26 season, he has tallied two goals, four assists and three blocks.
Former Omaha Hockey junior defenseman Dylan Gratton had been the most recent NCHC Defenseman of the Week (in January 2025) for his performance in a sweep of Miami. Gratton had two goals (including the game winner), one block and was +2 in the series.
