Omaha 3, Air Force 2 (OT)
Omaha struck early and built a 2-0 lead through the first two periods before Air Force stormed back with two goals in the third period to force overtime.
Period scoring: Omaha 1-1-0-1 (OT) = 3, Air Force 0-0-2-0 = 2
Key moment: Just 33 seconds into overtime, freshman forward Joel Plante buried the game-winner to give Omaha a 3-2 exhibition victory at Baxter Arena.
Standout performances:
For Omaha: Senior defenseman Griffin Ludtke opened scoring in the first period, while sophomore Brett Hyland extended the lead late in the second. Goaltender Šimon Latkoczy stopped all eight shots he faced before freshman Dawson Cowan took over midway through and made 18 saves.
For Air Force: Forwards Chris Hedden and Oliver Genest tallied third-period goals to erase a two-goal deficit, forcing overtime before Omaha sealed the win.
