The Mavs started the season last weekend with a tie and a loss to Union College. This weekend isn't going to be an easy one, with #2/#3-ranked Notre Dame coming to town. Notre Dame is 1-0-1 on the season after winning the Icebreaker tournament last weekend. Notre Dame tied Mercyhurst (winning in a shootout) and beat Providence College to win the tournament championship.
It will be interesting to see if freshman forward Tyler Weiss returns to the lineup. He did not travel to Schenectady, New York last weekend due to an upper body injury. (Weiss is also part of The NCHC's Snapchat Takeover weekend crew, which leads me to think he won't be playing.)
